About me:
Back in the goodle days…
During all of the 80-ies, I worked as a tech in various car workshops in the Netherlands. In brand dealerships and in non-brand shops. I gave up this career to pursue a new career in IT, where I still work today. However, the interest in car tech and electrics always remained, and I’ve always tried to keep up with new developments in the industry. In the last phase of my tech career, I specialized in car electrics and electronics. Electronic systems such as fuel injection systems were just coming up, while electronic ignition systems were already more established. I planned to be a full-time car-electrics and electronics specialist. But I was a bit ahead of my time, and in the first group to graduate as car-electrician with micro-electronics. Hence, my shift to a new career in IT.
Fast forward to 2025…
As I recently picked up an online course on Advanced vehicle electrics, electronics, and diagnostics (Avancerad fordonsel, elektronik och diagnostik) at the Swedish Yrkes Högskola (Practical College), I’ll be writing about what I’ve learned and try to include practical examples. As such, this base page and the underlying pages will be completed and extended as I go.
