A new book!

Authors Eef and I (Paul) operate the modest online blog you are currently reading. We both supply content on whatever subject is found interesting enough to share with others. With two people with broad interests, the content spreads over many subjects.
Over time – we have been doing this for several years now – each of us found a specific set of subjects that we explored deeper in order to learn more about them. Eef’s subjects have mostly been focused on mathematics and AI, and an impressive range of articles, by quantity and by depth, has been posted on each of these subjects. To make Eef’s AI content more accessible, Eef’s content on AI was re-packaged and published as a book.

The book focuses on Eef’s investigations into AI. His early articles were discussions with an early version of ChatGPT, where it became quite clear that AI still had a long way to go. We now know that was exactly what it did – it progressed, and fast. The later articles on AI made it clear that this progress had been made, and the current version of ChatGPT – to name one – is far superior to the earlier versions. The same can be said about Eef’s published articles on AI; they too evolve in order to keep up with the AI, but foremost continue to challenge it!
In order to make these conversations easier, and also more personal, Eef nicknamed his AI counterpart early on as Arty, Arty the AI. And indeed, the progress in the AI over time is hard to miss, but also the way Arty engages in what could have been good discussions between friends, quite good friends in this case.
This book contains most Eef’s content on AI as can be found on our blog today, but you’ll now find it conveniently compressed in a handy nowadays underestimated analog format. For the sake of completeness, all editorial comments from the blog posts were added, as well as Eef’s response to them.
