Ukraine – Book sales donated

Summary:

Today, the money collected from the book sales for my book ‘Ukraine – Infrastructure victory’ was transferred to the organization Help99. Exactly 20 books exchanged hands; some were sold, others donated. For the donated books, I footed the money it would have made in sales. Two buyers chose to pay more for the book than I was asking; I thanked them and added the full donation to the account. Those who bought a copy off me: thank you!

Two copies landed in different libraries, one in a private community library in Spain, the other in the communal library in Knivsta, Sweden, where we live. Of course, for these books I also footed the assumed sales profit.

Some books have been promised as a donation but have not yet been delivered. I preemptively added the assumed profit to the list.

Balancing the books:

Here are the sales details:

…the column ‘Donation’ consists of what folks have paid me for my book. Column ‘PvD paid’ shows donated books where I put in the assumed sales profit outa pocket. Some books were sent by mail, two overseas and one in Sweden. For these, I paid for the postage and added it to the sales profit.
And here is the total amount:

…which means a total of €237 had to be transferred to help99.

Confirmation of payment:

Is this now over?

In short: NO, this ain’t over until it’s over!

The war goes on, russia and put’n show no signs of negotiating peace, or even a ceasefire. russia continues attacking civilians in their homes, schools, hospitals, and railway stations.

Whatever more of my ‘Ukraine’ books I sell, will be transferred to help99. I’ll report on this page when I make a new transfer.

Fair warning:

I still have a few copies of the ‘Ukraine’ book at home, but I will not be ordering new ones. Lemme know if you’d like to receive or buy one.

Also, as online sales went via amazon, an organization I strongly despise since the 21st of January 2025, I will remove my book from that platform. After that, you can only order the book directly from me.

Conclusion:

As y’all already were aware, I’m not much of a salesperson. I’ve written seven books to date, and sold very few of each. The ‘Ukraine’ book turned out to be my best-selling book, with no less than eight copies sold and the other twelve given away for free. I do not really care about sales in general, but I do enjoy the writing.

Just a thought:

I wonder if I would sell any of my other books if I dedicated all my books to Ukraine and donate the sales profits help99…? Lemme know what you think!

For now:

Slava Ukraini!
Слава Україні!

…and remember:

Crimea is Ukraine!
